About Us

Our Story
Michelle and Staci met back when their kids were tiny kindergarteners with giant backpacks and even bigger personalities. One playdate turned into a friendship, and that friendship turned into… well, a whole life. Since then, they’ve crossed more state borders, classrooms, and family‑chaos moments than they can count — and yes, they even go to church together, usually laughing their way into the pew.
They’re the kind of friends who say yes to absolutely everything:
-
mission trips that tugged at their hearts
-
travel adventures that stretched their perspectives
-
raising kids together which stretched… their sanity
-
and classrooms full of students who taught them just as much as they taught them
After years of laughter, late‑night shenanigans, and “did‑we‑really‑just‑do‑that?” moments, they decided it was time for a new chapter — one filled with community, connection, and a game they absolutely adore.
Why a Mahjong House?
Because mahjong is basically their friendship in tile form:
-
strategy and learning
-
friendship and storytelling
-
laughter that gets louder as the night goes on
-
and the joy of welcoming everyone to the table
They dreamed of a place where beginners feel brave, seasoned players feel celebrated, and everyone feels like they belong — a space where community grows as naturally as their friendship did.
What We Believe
Mahjong isn’t just a game — it’s a gathering. It’s connection. It’s tradition. It’s joy.
And they’re thrilled to share that joy with you.
Pull up a chair — the tiles are ready.
